  • Too dark viewfinder image? The original prisms are often dark and costly – this adapter allows the use of the much brighter Kiev 60/66 prisms.
  • Cropped field of view? Unlike the originals, which crop the image, the Kiev viewfinder shows the full ground glass image (100%).
  • Want TTL metering? A practical solution to equip your camera with reliable TTL exposure metering.
  • Secure hold? The adapter is slid on like the waist-level finder; the prism is inserted and locked in place. The fit can be finely adjusted if needed using the camera screws.

Description

This adapter solves the problem of dark or costly original finders for the Pentacon Six and Exakta 66. It allows mounting the widely used Kiev 60/66 prisms (TTL or standard). The result is a brighter viewfinder image that covers 100% of the ground glass. Please note that Pentacon Six accessories (e.g. angle finders) do not fit the Kiev prism.

Note for Exakta 66 users: Since the Exakta system uses a mechanical cam for aperture transmission, metering with the Kiev prism works uncoupled (measure light, transfer values manually). The advantage: metering also works with third-party lenses without cams.
