  • Focusing: Since Nikonos cameras don’t have a rangefinder, you need to estimate the distance (zone focusing). With fast M42 lenses, the shallow depth of field often leads to misfocusing.
  • Warning, loss of diving capability: The adapter causes the system to lose its pressure resistance. M42 lenses are not waterproof, so moisture can enter through the focus ring.
  • Viewfinder: The built-in viewfinder is set for 35mm. For other focal lengths, the framing is off, requiring an external viewfinder attachment.


Note:

This adapter is designed exclusively for use on land or as splash protection. It is not suitable for diving and is not pressure-resistant.
